Diana Padilla is the Cultural Proficiency Program Manager for the Training Institute of the National Development & Research Institutes, Inc. She manages all aspects of culture based training projects including organizing, scheduling, and curriculum development. Ms Padilla is a Senior Trainer with over 13 years of experience in disciplines of public health. She has worked in the alcohol and substance abuse treatment field as well as with Community Based Organizations offering HIV/AIDS services to the Latino and African American communities. Her areas of expertise include Cultural Competency, Substance Abuse, Case Management, Harm Reduction, HIV/AIDS, Domestic Violence, and Viral Hepatitis.
Ms Padilla has trained public health workers, treatment specialists, and drug court practitioners in courses such as the 'Cultural Proficiency in Drug Court Practice' and ‘Building Bridges to Cultural Competency,’ and presents workshops on Latino culture and gender specific issues.
