Dissemination Advisory Board

Dissemination Advisory Group Description 

The Center for Drug Use and HIV Research (CDUHR) at the NYU College of Nursing and at the Training Institute (TI) of the National Development and Research Institutes, Inc. has created a dissemination committee with members selected for their expertise in dissemination, and representation of community groups and "consumers" of HIV related research. This committee will have several goals to support the achievement of the following aims.

Aim 1:
Assist in the enhancement of the dissemination and application of CDUHR research findings and TI program to service providers, policy makers and other consumer constituents.

Aim 2:
Participate in a bi-directional dialogue in order to obtain feedback about emerging issues in the fields of HIV/AIDS and drug use.

Responsibilities of Advisory Group Members

  • Attend at least 3 out of 4 quarterly meetings
  • Provide feedback on materials distributed at quarterly meetings or sent out through e-mail correspondence between meetings
  • Give input on research directions for and new topics for future research and training efforts
  • Assist in advertising CDUHR and TI sponsored trainings, conferences and technical assistance opportunities
  • Assist in developing strategies for identifying how and where to conduct dissemination efforts

The Training Institute of NDRI Visits the White House!

On May 16, 2012, Rabin Martin and NDRI's Training Institute representatives met with leaders of the Office of National AIDS Policy, including Grant Colfax, the newly appointed ONAP Director and Gregg Millett, CDC/HHS Liaison to the White House Office of National AIDS Policy to discuss the new 'Bridge2Care' electronic intervention.
