Some of the CASAC accredited courses we will offer in May are ‘HIV and Nutrition’ and ‘Nicotine Addiction and HIV’ as well as ‘Co-occurring Disorders’. AIDS Institute RTC Training Calendar
The ‘January to June 2010’ calendar of FREE trainings is now available. View course descriptions before registering for new trainings such as, ‘Group Facilitation for STD/HIV Prevention' and 'Improving Health Outcomes for HIV Positive Individuals' and more. Many of the trainings are approved for CASAC credits. Currently, some of the course may be closed. Go to closed courses before registering for a course at online registration.
We are also offering a new Medicaid Managed Care for People with HIV/AIDS: What you need to know! This half-day training is designed to provide health and human service providers with information and skills to better assist HIV-positive clients receiving Medicaid benefits with navigating the managed care environment and exploring healthcare optionscourse. Cultural Proficiency trainings for Drug Court Practitioners/Teams
National Development and Research Institutes is subcontracted by National Drug Court Institute (NDCI) to facilitate the 'Cultural Proficiency for Drug Court Practice' training to selected Drug Courts from 1/1/10-12/31/10. This training is designed to address systems and agency level issues of culture for practitioners when working with minority populations in the Drug Court program. Care Coordination Program
Care Coordination Program (CCP) is a 10-day training series designed specifically for Ryan white (Part A) Funded Care Coordation Programs.The purpose of this training is to ensure program staff competency in providing services to people living with HIV/AIDS through the use of the Care Coordination Model developmed by the NYC Department of Health and Mental Hygiene Bureau of HIV/AIDS Prevention and Control. The Care Coordinateion Model emphasizes coordination of services, adherence and self sufficiency. To register go to CCP registration.
