Improving Cultural Competency with HIV Service Providers

The goal of the NDRI (Training Institute),’Cultural Competency Linkage Project’ is to enhance and build the cultural competence capacity of HIV service providers to provide and increase access to testing, health, counseling, and social services to:

(1) Men of color who have sex with men

(2) Girls and young women of color with male partners involved with correctional facilities

(3) Homeless LGBT youth

(4) Transgender people

Organizations will be trained on how to conduct their own needs assessment as well as address their identified needs utilizing community resources.

The Training Institute of NDRI Visits the White House!

On May 16, 2012, Rabin Martin and NDRI's Training Institute representatives met with leaders of the Office of National AIDS Policy, including Grant Colfax, the newly appointed ONAP Director and Gregg Millett, CDC/HHS Liaison to the White House Office of National AIDS Policy to discuss the new 'Bridge2Care' electronic intervention.
